Construction Project Underway . . .
Tobyhanna Army Depot is no longer accepting applications for on post family housing quarters. We are undergoing a renovation project to all Army Family Housing (AFH) units. This replacement project demolishes the existing AFH inventory to construct 20 to 26 new AFH units.
The on post Housing Service Office is available Monday – Friday from 0700-1630 to assist you in finding a quality home or apartment in the local community. Please contact our staff today at 570-615-7888 for relocation assistance.
Single Soldier Housing
Single soldiers can stay in the barracks which has three 28-person open bays with 10 individual rooms. The barracks also has 1+1 rooms (shared bathroom) and one-person rooms without bathrooms. The barracks also has a community kitchen, dayroom with television, card table and pool table, as well as a study room. Cable television is available. Refrigerators and microwaves are in all rooms and Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
The Pocono Mountains Region is a vacation and resort area. Off-post housing and apartment rentals are expensive and availability is limited in the immediate area. Begin your home search as soon as possible. Apartment and home listings can be found online at the local newspaper websites.
Housing Referral Office
The Housing Referral Office is your contact for any problems you may encounter such as discrimination complaints, tenant/landlord disputes or any questions or problems about off-post housing. The HRO will provide you a list of rentals with corresponding locator maps and give you information regarding the communities in which the rentals are located.
