Resources are available to help you understand and manage your finances, including one-on-one financial counseling to assist you and your family with financial readiness. Services are designed to focus on money management issues throughout your active-duty lifecycle and into retirement. Financial readiness educational opportunities range from basic planning to long-term investing. Check out the information below to see what’s available at your installation.
The Financial Readiness Program assists military personnel, civilian employees, and their families in achieving financial success by teaching and practicing sound personal finance principles. The program also guides clients towards financial success through education, resources, and informed consumer decisions.
Additionally, the FRP aids in assessing the type and level of assistance needed and facilitates appropriate referrals to civilian agencies.
Financial Readiness Classes are offered for both groups and individuals. Topics covered include planning and budgeting, banking, managing checking accounts, wise credit use, insurance, savings and investments, making large purchases, car buying, and consumer awareness.
Army Emergency Relief is a component of the Financial Readiness Program, offering 0% interest loans or grants to Active-Duty Service Members, Retirees, and survivors on a case-by-case basis.
