Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. Please review the information to find out what programs and services are available at this installation. There are four CDCs on Wiesbaden, 2 CDCs in Hainerberg Housing Area. All CDCs provide care for children ages six weeks through Kindergarten, with full day, part-day and hourly care programs as well as Part-day Preschool, School Age Services and before and after school care.
Family Child Care homes are also available.

Starting on Jan. 10, 2022, Wiesbaden Parent Central Services, Bldg. 1213 on Clay Kaserne, will be open for registrations and re-registrations by walk-ins and appointments Mondays to Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursdays from 1-6 p.m.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. My child is on medication; can I bring the medication with them to school? Answer: To bring medication to school you have to contact the school nurse. In CYS Services, you need to contact the CYS facility director, who will explain the requirements for administering medications in the CDC/SAC.
2. What happens if there is an unplanned school closure? Answer: This depends on why the school would be closed. Under normal circumstances, the School Age Centers will be available for care, but please listen to AFN-Wiesbaden radio, FM98.7, for details.
3. How do I register my child for a school on a different installation than my home installation? Answer: Please check with the School Liaison Officer, civ (0611) 143-548-9305, or contact the school.
4. Where can I get information on the directors and management staff? Answer: Please call or email the contact information listed on our webpages -- we’ll direct you to the right people.
5. Where do I find the program center? Answer: When you register and enroll your child/ren in a program, Parent Central Services staff will answer all your questions on what the program is about, where it is, what time it starts and ends and answer any additional questions parents might have.
6. How do I register my child with CYS Services? Answer: CYS Services’ Parent Central Services, offers email registrations, appointment registrations and walk-in registrations. To make sure you have all the required documents needed, you can visit our website, email or call Parent Central Services for information.
7. Is there child-care available only on post? Answer: Yes.
8. How much do the different programs cost? Answer: For more information please see our current Fee Chart. Please call Parent Central at 0611-143-548-9356 or 9350 for the latest information.
9. How do I decide which school on which installation to send my child to if there are multiple in my area? Answer: All elementary children attend Hainerberg Elementary School unless you live in Aukamm. In that case, children attend Aukamm Elementary School.
10. Do buses take children off post as well as on? Answer: Yes.
Family child care is the use of government quarters to provide adequate child care for working military and civilian families. FCC providers are trained and certified before child care is authorized. All providers are closely monitored by the FCC director, FCC trainer and the community health nurse. This program gives parents the option of having their child(ren) in home-like settings. It is especially convenient for parents with irregular work schedules.
What full-day or before/after-school child care is available?
We offer three viable child care options
1. Family Child Care (licensed contractors)

Babysitter Referral Services
Looking for a Teen Babysitter? Looking to be a Teen Babysitter? CYS offers training following the 4-H babysitter curriculum in becoming a certified Teen Babysitter. Teen military family members in grades 7 and up who wish to to expand and market themselves for babysitting jobs can be placed on the babysitter's referral list with parent permission.
Military parents needing babysitters must complete a request form located at Parent Central Services. Once parents complete the required form, they will receive a list of babysitter information based on specified requirements (location, availability, etc). After receiving a list of babysitters, parents can make arrangements directly with the babysitter. All arrangements and fees for care are between the parent and babysitter.
CYS offers Babysitting Referral Services for registered families. Babysitters on the referral list are 13 years or older, have certification in First Aid and CPR, and are trained in:

Alternative Child Care
CYS provides additional child care beyond the regular facility opening hours.
Kids On Site (KoS) KoS provides child care on site for your unit/organizational event at the location your event is being held. CYS will provide quality child care providers to watch children ages 6 weeks through 12 years on site. Your unit pays for this service through Parent Central Services. KoS is not available at all locations on post. For information, a quote or to schedule an event, contact Parent & Outreach Services.
Volunteer Child Care in Unit Settings (VCCUS) VCCUS is a volunteer-based childcare program that allows for on-site care during meetings and events organized by military units, Army Community Service (ACS) groups or Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation. Through VCCUS, Parent & Outreach Services will provide training to volunteers from the military unit or organization. The program is designed to allow the exchange of free and temporary childcare services during unit sessions when the demand is high or when child development center services are not available. Parents and guardians of children in VCCUS must be attending the same function and must remain at the site while their child is under volunteer care.

The Wiesbaden School-Age Center program specializes in child care for children in the 1st through 5th grades. Programs offered include before- and after-school care, hourly care and summer camps.
Our mission is to enhance readiness and well-being of the work force and their families by providing predictable, affordable and quality programs and services for school-age children.
Our centers are members of National After School Association, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the 4-H Club.
Before- and after- school care is available throughout the school year at our day care and youth centers as well as several in-home care providers.
