If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
For immediate emergency assistance in reporting sexual assault, please call the SHARP SARC/VA 24 Hour Number at 928-920-3104.

U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground does not have a local American Red Cross on the installation. The Yuma community American Red Cross does not provide financial assistance.
AER can be reached by calling 928-328-3350 or DSN 312-899-3350. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. After Duty Hours, contact the American Red Cross at 1-877-272-7337 (Emergency Travel only). All other emergencies (i.e., no pay due, vehicle repairs, rent/mortgage, etc.) must wait, until the next business day.
Army Emergency Relief (AER) provides emergency financial assistance to eligible Soldiers (active or retired) and their Families. Spouses must provide a valid Special Power of Attorney (SPOA) and unit contact information, if seeking assistance during the Service Member's (SM's) absence. AER provides emergency assistance to widows and orphans of deceased active duty or retired Soldiers.

Army Community Service (ACS) hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. Closed Fridays-Sundays & Holidays.
928-328-2513 - Information, Referral & Follow-Up Program: Information and Referral provides Commanders, Service Members, and Families with information regarding military & civilian community resources. Clients will be provided with information or assistance needed or will be referred, to the appropriate social service agency, that can best assist them.

The Yuma Salvation Army office and chapel are located at 600 W. Catalina Drive, Yuma, AZ 85364 and can be reached at 928-783-0181.
Services include emergency lodging for qualifying individuals and/or families, as well as urgent services: food boxes, utility assistance, emergency shelter, hygiene and rental assistance.
For any assistance, proof of identification and income is required. All other assistance has additional requirements. English and Spanish spoken.
