If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
To report sexual assault, please call the DoD SAFE Helpline at 877-995-5247 or the YPG 24 Hour Helpline at 928-920-3104.
For immediate emergency assistance in reporting domestic violence please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233 or YPG 24 Hour Helpline at 928-287-3361.

U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground does not have a local American Red Cross on the installation. The Yuma community American Red Cross does not provide financial assistance.
Army Emergency Relief, or AER, can be reached by calling 928-328-2332 or DSN 312-899-2332. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. After hours, beneficiaries may contact the American Red Cross at 877-272-7337.
Army Emergency Relief provides emergency financial assistance to eligible soldiers (active or retired) and their families. Spouses must provide a valid special power of attorney and unit contact information, if seeking assistance during the service member's absence.
Who is Eligible for AER Services
Hours of operation for Army Community Service are Monday-Thursday, 6 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. ACS is closed Fridays, Sundays and holidays. Call 928-328-2513.
The Information, Referral and Follow-up Program provides commanders, service members and families with information about military and civilian community resources. Clients will be provided with the information or assistance needed, or will be referred to the social service agency that can best assist them.

The Yuma Salvation Army office is located at 445 S. 4th Avenue, Yuma, AZ 85364 and can be reached at 928-783-0181 or via email at yumahelp@usw.salvationarmy.org. Office hours are Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Services include assistance with emergency food, utilities (APS and Southwest Gas), water and rent (when funds are available), personal hygiene kit, case management and veteran services.
Food Box and Personal Hygiene Kits: available to single and family unit that are in an emergency or difficult financial situation. Requirements:
Sandwiches: available Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
APS, Water and Southwest Gas Assistance: available to single anf family units that have a temporary financial emergency preventing them from paying esential bills to include: medical, car repairs, temporary lost job, prison, divorce, etc. No deposit for utilities, no late fees.

2-1-1 Arizona Information and Referral Service operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week and every day of the year. Live-operator service is available at all times in English and Spanish and assistance is available in other languages via real-time interpreter services.
