To Engage in Meaningful Connections in Support of Our Entire Altus AFB Community and Provide Exceptional Programming Relevant to Their Needs.
PROGRAMS & SERVICES:
Information & Referral -
Work in partnerships to provide immediate, shorterm assistance and referral to appropiate organizations or sevices to help individuals and families facing crisis situations.
Tranisition Assistance Program:
The Transition Assistance program (TAP) is mandatory for all retiring or separating service members who will transition from military to civilan life.
TAP provides Service Members and their spouses with the information, tools and training to ensure they are prepared for the next steps in civilian life; wether pursuing additional education, finding a career or starting a business.
Personal Financial Readiness:
Education, Resources & Referrals to help Airmen, Guardians, Government Civilians & Family Members by building a solid financial foundation at the beginning of a career & further developing throughout the Military Life Cycle.
To build financial literacy skills, we host workshops for basic budgeting, vehivle purchasing, home buying, credit reports & scores and the thrift Savings Plan (TSP).
Military Officers reporting to their FIRST duty station should schedule a mandatory "First Duty Station Financial Brief" within 90 days of arrival.
Personal and Work Life Program:
Sets out to achieve and ideal balance in an individual's personal and proffesional life, enhancing the energy they can put into both, motivating them to maintain that balance.
Workshops and one-on-one counseling are available upon request.
Relocation Program:
Eases the Stress Assoicated with permanent Change of staion (PCS) by providing information and services.
Assistance, Counseling, Sponsorship training & Education are offered throughout all phases of the relocation process.

Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Family Support:
Information, resources, skills and support to help military families with special needs to navigate their systems of care.
Employment & Volunteer Program:
Support to sevice members, DoD civilian employees and family members in achieving short and long-term employment by referring for education and training or assisting with abtaining career opportunites.
Provides updates on spouse employment initatives, internships, fellowships, entrepreneurial coursework and career coaching.
The Altus Military Spouse Network provides connections to local employers as well as maintaing involvment with Altus Co-working Space supporting military spouses who engage in remote work.
In addition, we collaboarte with other on and off base agencies for the purpose of referring Airmen, Gaurdians, Spouses and Family Member for volunteer opportunities.
Deployment Support Program:
Assists Military/DoD personnel and their families meet the challenges during all phases of deployment cycle:
Pre-deployment, Deployment, Sustainment, Re-Deployment, Re-Integration and Post-Deployment.
Casualty Assistance/Survivor Benefit Plan:
Prompt reporting of active duty injury/death and ensures timely notification of next of kin; assists in applying for survivor benefits.
In addition, provides information regarding the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) to military members eligbile for retirment, along with their spouse, enabling them to make an informed decision as it pertains to participation in the plan.
Air Force Families Forver Support:
A conduit to personalized referrals and targeted information as it relates to the death of an airman or guardian, and ensures fallen Airmen, Guardians and their families are always remembered.
Warrior & Survivor Support
Non-medical services, re-integration and transition support for wounded, ill and injured Airmen and Guardians requiring long-term medical care or when meeting medical or physical evaluation board to determine fitness for duty.
Installation Voting Assistance Officer (IVAO):
Ensure Service members, family members and overseas US citizens are aware to accuarate voting information.
Air Force Aid Society (AFSAS) Support:
AFAS is offical charity of the US Air Force and is avilable to help in emergencies to meet basic needs of eligible individuals & families through interest-free loans or grants.

Wellness Center:
The M&FRC Wellness Center is a mindfulness refuge that engages all five senses: sight from the light display, touch in a variety of textures on pillows and furniture, smell and taste from our coffee bar, and sound from various sources.
We've created a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a chair massage, escape through sound in our egg chair, relax on our cozy furniture while using free Wi-Fi or taking advantage of our library of resource materials.
In addition, this space provides wellness activities such as a word wall, a large-scale coloring page, and sensory fidgets.
Casualty Affairs/Survivor Benefit Program Officer :
The SBP officer assists families with all aspects of casualty information and benefits and also acts as the SBP liaison, explaining to retirees and other family members, as appropriate, the SBP system, procedures and explanation thereof.
School Liaison Officer:
The SLO assists and supports military families by working appropriate issues and concerns between the military and civilian school systems.

Military and Family Life Counselors:
Licensed professional counselors are based at the Airman and Family Readiness Center and the Youth Center.
They provide service members, spouses, family members and children with a wide range of short-term, nonmedical, solution-focused services related to deployment issues, relationship and family issues, stress, grief and other daily life issues.
Their services are free and anonymous.
No records are kept, and they can meet on or off base.
