Contact the Spouse Employment Assistance Consultant at the Military and Family Readiness Center by calling 575-784-4228 and scheduling an appointment. There are many employment and educational opportunities in the local area and on the installation.

Good Prospects
Employment can be found in the area of social services, medical, education (elementary, secondary, special and college levels) and law enforcement. Employment in public service at the local, state and federal levels also boasts good prospects. Engineers with the appropriate education and credentials have a good chance of securing employment and are in demand.
Poor Prospects
It is important to note that employability in the local area is good; however, it is necessary to identify which areas are marketable and pose the necessary credentials and experience.
For job-hunting purposes, be sure to hand carry employment records, resumes, transcripts, permanent change of station orders, federal tax returns, etc. Do not ship these documents with household goods.
