Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
Relocation Assistance is available to total force members and their families authorized to make a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move. The Relocation Assistance Program (RAP) provides programs and access services through the Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC), as well as, through several online avenues.
Commando Newcomers Orientation is a mandatory program for all newly assigned personnel to familiarize themselves with their new base and receive a mission briefing from the wing commander. Relocation Assistance is located at the M&FRC, 331 D.L. Ingram, bldg.1433; call 575-784-4228, DSN 312-681-4228.
Installation Specific Information
Your sponsor, Command Support Section (CSS) & M&FRC will refer you to the Commando Readiness Center (CRC) “Welcome Center” to gain you to the base, sign you up for the Newcomers Orientation and other mandatory classes, and to complete your travel voucher. Newcomers Orientation is held at Landing Zone, 211 Levitow. Briefings are offered on the first and third Thursday of every month at 7:30 a.m. Spouses are highly encouraged to attend. Remember to enroll at the Commando Readiness Center by calling 575-784-2700. As an added bonus, attendees receive valuable information on the local area during the Information Fair.
