If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
Air Force Aid Society
You can receive financial assistance from the Air Force Aid Society at most Air Force installations. Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) provides emergency assistance when unexpected financial emergencies arise with no-interest loans.
There are two types of financial assistance offered by AFAS: 1) Standard Assistance and 2) Falcon Assistance.
The Standard Assistance is intended to help stabilize Airmen in emergency situations with substantial financial support. The Standard Assistance process includes establishing a budget for long-term financial stability; this assistance type can be in the form of an interest-free loan, grant, or a combination of the two.

The Falcon Assistance is a no-interest loan up to $1,5000. The application process is streamlined and allows for quick support when time and resources are limited. The Falcon Assistance is intended for emergencies in the following areas:

At Creech AFB, the Military & Family Readiness Center can provide referral for emergency financial assistance during normal duty hours at 702-404-0864 or DSN 312-384-0864. Online application link for Air Force Aid Society Assistance is https://portal.afas.org/ea-eligibility/. For emergency travel assistance, contact the American Red Cross at 877-272-7337.
For immediate emergency assistance at Creech AFB, call the Military Police at 702-404-3333. If dialing 911 on a cell phone to report an emergency on base, caller must specify to the dispatcher that the emergency is on Creech AFB installation. The dispatcher will transfer the call to the military emergency response team on base.
