Temporary Housing

Creech Air Force Base does not have temporary lodging. Personnel who are authorized temporary lodging should check with Nellis Air Force Base for availability. You can make your own arrangements for temporary lodging at Nellis AFB by calling the Nellis Lodging Office at 702-652-2711 or DSN 312-682-2711. You and your family are authorized a 30-day stay in the Nellis AFB Temporary Lodging Facility with confirmed reservations. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. There are currently 10 TLFs designated for pets (dogs and cats only). To make reservations, call the Nellis AFB Lodging Office at 702-652-2711 or DSN 312-682-2711 as soon as possible.

Please note: Nellis AFB is 50 miles from Creech AFB. There are several hotels in northwest Las Vegas and you should confirm with Nellis Lodging Office for non-availability.

If Creech AFB is your first duty station following completion of a technical school of less than 20 weeks, you may not be authorized reimbursement for the cost of temporary lodging. Check with the Finance Office and ask the Lodging Office about temporary lodging expenses.

The Desert Eagle RV Park at Nellis AFB has 226 RV slots with water, electric power and sewer hookups. There are 32 sites with water and electric only, there is one tent area, an overflow area, and a coin-operated laundry facility with showers and restrooms. Reservations can be made by mail, email or phone at rvpark@nellisservices.com or 702-643-3060.

Nellis Air Force Base has 10 rooms that accept pets (dogs and cats only). If none of these rooms are open, you will be asked to board your pet at one of the local kennels. A list of kennels is available at the Nellis Lodging Office front desk. Guests having pets in units will be assessed a damage/cleaning fee and will be asked to vacate quarters. Non-availability will not be issued under this circumstance and hotel costs will be at the guest's expense.

For temporary lodging at Nellis Air Force Base, it is recommended making reservations well in advance of your planned arrival date. Nellis has large-scale exercises throughout the year which utilize most or all of the temporary lodging except the temporary lodging facilities.

If the newcomer is married, he or she is authorized a 30-day stay in the Nellis TLF with confirmed reservations. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. To make a reservation, call 702-652-2711 or DSN 312-682-2711 as soon as you know when you will arrive at Nellis. Also, you should be sure to copy down the reservation confirmation number and, if unable to get a confirmed reservation prior to arrival, you will be allowed to stay in the TLF based on a day-to-day availability of quarters. In order for you to stay at a local hotel, you must first contact Nellis Lodging Office for a letter of non-availability or the hotel costs could be at the guest's expense.
