The Air Force Library Program offers resources for airmen, guardians, and their families in all locations and military stages.
Installation libraries play an important role in Air Force and Space Force professional life. They offer technical publications to support job requirements and opportunities for career development. You can earn college degrees and certifications, update promotion packages, prepare for transition or retirement, and more. Many resources are available online through the Air Force website.
Installation libraries also offer community programs such as story times and summer reading programs. There are author and book talks, as well as events to celebrate holidays and Air Force and Space Force heritage events. Most libraries also offer access to computers, internet, and basic office equipment like copiers and faxing services. All Defense Department service members and their families can also use the online DOD MWR Libraries. The online libraries provide an array of resources for children and adults. While there are no library services at Creech AFB or Nellis AFB, the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District has 25 libraries, 15 Fine Art Galleries, and six Performing Arts Centers in the Las Vegas and the surrounding communities in Clark County, including Indian Springs, which neighbors Creech AFB. Clark County Library District gives you access to over 3.6 million items with one library card.
Even better is the courier service that allows patrons to request materials from one library to be shipped to another library for pick up, or to turn in materials from one library at another library, saving time and gas.
Your Clark County library card allows you to check out Free Museum and Park Passes to various museums and state parks in the Las Vegas area. The Clark County Libdary District also offers Free Homework Help; the tutors are teachers and teachers' aides who work for the Clark County School District.
