Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
The Deployment Support Program within the Creech Airman and Family Readiness Center provides information and support during all phases of deployment. Spouses and family members of personnel deployed or in a temporary duty assignment for more than 30 days or serving on a remote tour are eligible.
Prior to deployment/remote assignment, a pre-deployment briefing is mandatory for all active-duty personnel who have a firm tasking and are within 60 days of departure. Spouses, family members and/or significant others are welcome to attend. Deploying personnel are asked to provide spouse and family member contact information so that essential information including support resources, deployed family activities and other installation news can be relayed to families during deployment.
Post-deployment, all military personnel must attend a reintegration, or welcome home, briefing prior to beginning rest and recuperation. Spouse are welcome to attend. Additionally, the Creech A&FRC provides a spouse-specific Welcome Home briefing several times a month. Contact the Creech A&FRC at 702-404-0864 for more information.
Key Spouse Program
A key spouse is an informal link between the squadron commander/first sergeant and spouses. A key spouse is someone you can go to for information from base services to deployment questions. A key spouse is also the person who stays in contact with families during deployments as well as welcomes new families to the base. Contact the Creech A&FRC at 702-404-0864 to find out more about the Key Spouse Program.
Volunteer Programs
One way to make getting through a deployment easier is to keep busy. The Creech A&FRC has volunteer opportunities. By volunteering, you not only keep yourself busy, but you gain valuable experience and help to build a strong community. Contact the Creech A&FRC at 702-404-0864 or the Nellis A&FRC at 702-652-3327 for more information.
Care Car Because We Care

Contact the Creech A&FRC at 702-404-0864 for information on getting a voucher. You will need a copy of your spouse's deployment orders.
