Relocation assistance can provide support if you’re preparing to move or PCS. The programs and services defined below are provided by the Military and Family Support Center. In addition to the assistance program, a variety of other services may be available. Check the additional information topic to see what unique installation services are available to you.
If you are approaching a permanent change of station, or PCS, you may have questions about your upcoming move. As part of the Military and Family Support Center, the relocation assistance program provides services and resources to help make this transition as smooth as possible. Below is a list of resources.
The Eglin Airman and Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) has a well-stocked loan closet for arrivals/departures. Futons (exercise mats), dish packs (kitchen items), and TVs are just a few of the many items that can be borrowed on a first come, first served basis (loaned for 30 day intervals). These items are intended to make life comfortable in the absence of items in your household goods shipment. For questions about the loan closet, call 850-882-9060. The Family Services Loan Closet is located in BLDG 202, one block from the Airman and Family Readiness Center - BLDG 205, and is open Monday-Friday, from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM.
Installation Specific Information
Newcomers to Eglin should visit the Airman Family Readiness Center to review the many resources available to acquaint them with the Eglin community. A resource area is equipped with wifi, laptops, printers, maps, pamphlets and more designed to ease your transition to the Eglin community.
During in-processing, inbound personnel will be registered for the installation Newcomers Orientation. Spouses are encouraged to attend! ALL ARE WELCOME.
