As a gateway to the resources you need, the Military and Family Support Center provides information, support and services to help you balance the demands of military life. The Military and Family Support Center is one part of the overall Family Readiness System, which is the network of agencies, programs, services, partnerships and individuals that supports your personal and family life readiness, mobilization and deployment readiness, and mobility and economic readiness. Military and Family Support Centers provide information, education and support programs to help balance the demands of military life. Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) -- Our purpose is to deliver on the Army's commitment to Families of the Fallen. Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) connects you with people who can help you cope with your loss. SOS demonstrates the Army's commitment to Families of the Fallen by providing support and standardized services to Active, Reserve, and Army National Guard Families. Fort Hood SOS is staffed with 1 Program Manager, 2 Support Specialists, and 1 Financial Counselor to assist Families for as long as they need. We are located on the 1st floor of the Shoemaker Center, Bldg. 36000 on Darnall Loop and may be reached by phone at 254-288-3655.
