Relocation assistance can provide support if you’re preparing to move or PCS. The programs and services defined below are provided by the Military and Family Support Center. In addition to the assistance program, a variety of other services may be available. Check the additional information topic to see what unique installation services are available to you.
If you are approaching a permanent change of station, or PCS, you may have questions about your upcoming move. As part of the Military and Family Support Center, the Relocation Assistance Program provides services and resources to help make this transition as smooth as possible. Below is a list of resources.
For assistance to relocate to Fort Hood, please visit Military OneSource at https://installations.militaryonesource.mil/. Military OneSource can assist you with planning your move. Soldiers processing into Fort Hood will attend a Newcomer's brief as part of their in processing through 21st Replacement Detachment.
Other ACS programs offered include Financial Assistance, Family Advocacy Program, Parenting/Stress Management, Army Family Team Building, Fort Hood Mobilization, Deployment, & Support Stability Operations, Exceptional Family Member, Employment Referral, and Volunteer Referral.
Installation Specific Information
Bi-Annual Hood Howdy is a Newcomer's Information Fair conducted by Family and Morale, Welfare Recreation. The event provides instant resources and showcases Fort Hood enhanced community relationship. Hood Howdy provides newcomers and the community an abundance of information for the ride at "The Great Place"...Such as that of local programs and activities; over 100 agencies and commercial sponsors to include the local Chambers of Commerce, Housing, emergency services, commissary and medical services. Family and MWR agencies are available to provide in-depth information regarding their services, such as financial counseling, recreational activities, job search assistance, and Child Youth School Services. For those with specific concerns or questions, one-on-one information about various services and resource information.
Citizenship and Immigration Services Town Hall each month, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Information Session is held on Fort Hood.
