Government housing is not available on this installation or within the community. There are many internet resources that list apartments for rent and homes for sale; if you find housing online check reviews at https://www.apartmentratings.com. Local realty companies have websites and offer many types of services for relocating personnel. If you need Relocation Assistance reach out to the Family Advocacy Program Office in Battle Creek for housing assistance (before signing a lease or purchasing a home to insure you are in a safe area that is suitable for your needs), and to receive a plethora of resources about the area. Housing Resources -- Your POC for any problems you may encounter (discrimination complaints, tenant/landlord disputes, support animals, or any questions/problems about off-post housing) is the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) office. The Family Program Manager (FPM) is available to assist you on a person-to-person basis in any way possible to make your move to this installation an easy and pleasant transition. There is a relocation packet that can be provided to you with a list of rentals and other information regarding the area in which the facilities are located.
Rental Options
There are many apartment complexes, houses, and duplexes to rent in the area. The prices vary in accordance with floor space, amenities, bedrooms, pets, etc. All require at least a minimum one month's rent, some include utilities (heat, water, and electricity), garages are rare - but you may be able to rent a car port if available, and many are close to public transportation. The housing market in Battle Creek is prevalent with homes in all price ranges. There is a variety to select from: old, newer, newly constructed, 1 to 5 bedrooms, single to multiple baths, no garage to multiple car garages, small lots to several acres; city or rural; basic with few amenities to more amenities.
