Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
The Family Advocacy Program Manager is a Licensed Masters Social Worker, State of Michigan. The following workshops or groups are available: How to Survive a Deployment, Deployment and Your Kids, Deployment and Your Marriage, Spouse to Spouse Support Groups During the Deployment Process, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Reunion Workshops, Suicide Prevention, Grief, Anger Management, Stress Management, Single Soldier Workshops, Parenting Workshops, Single Parent Support Group, Single Parenting Workshop, 10 Things to Do Instead of Hitting, Parenting Teens, Marital Communication, Help!
