Kadena's youth have several options for youth employment and volunteerism. Starting in April, the base Civilian Personnel Office works to place teens in various offices and centers throughout the base for Summer Hire positions. Please visit the CPO office for further information or call DSN 315-632-7915.
Also, through the Air Force Aid Society, The Youth Employment Skills (YES) program allows teens in high school to volunteer and "save" money for college. The program is an on-base volunteer program, offering students an opportunity to learn valuable work skills, "bank" dollar credits toward their post-secondary education and have a positive impact on their base community. Volunteer positions should be related to possible career interests following completion of high school/college. For more information on how to participate in YES, please contact the Teen Center at DSN: 315-634-3866
