The Shogun Inn's main lodging office is located at Bldg. 332. Please ensure you or your sponsor make reservations as soon as you have an arrival date. Reservations can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; please call DSN 315-632-1100/1101 or 1-888-AF-Lodge. The cost for on-base quarters is based on accommodation assignments, not rank, and are also on a first-come first-served basis. Non-availability statements/numbers are issued when on-base quarters/contract quarters are unavailable. Your sponsor may obtain a list of off-base hotels and rates from the Front Desk at the Shogun Inn. Families PCSing in are authorized a maximum of 30 days in the TLFs. Pet TLFs are limited, so contact your sponsor for assistance if traveling with pets. The 18th Force Support Squadron operates Karing Kennels on base, which you can utilize if a Pet TLF is not available.

Eligibility/Orders

Reservations are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on a first-come first-served basis, and are also based on Priority. Priority 1 guests (PCSing, separating, retiring, TDY, hospital outpatients, family/friends of inpatients) require orders upon check-in. Priority 2 guests are on a Space Available basis; rooms are only given dependent upon current availability and reservations for Priority 2 guests are subject to change/cancellation due to mission requirements. Reservations can be made as soon as the requirement is known.

If you arrive on-base after hours at the AMC Terminal, you can call the Shogun Inn at DSN 315-632-1010/1011/1012/1050, or contact an AAFES contracted taxi at 99-098-970-8888 for transportation to Bldg 332.

Rates for off-base hotels average approximately $125 per night and vary according to the hotel and size of family. A list of off-base hotels is available to you or your sponsor at the Shogun Inn front desk.

Pets

Pets are authorized to stay at the Shogun Inn, if pet rooms are available. Contact your sponsor for assistance if traveling with pets. Please note that there are only 10 pet friendly rooms at the Shogun Inn. Availability is first come, first served so please make pet friendly room reservations as soon as possible. Otherwise, pets can be kenneled at Kadena's Karing Kennels. Pet owners will be charged a standard $10.00 per room per night fee regardless of the number of pets in the unit and duration of stay. The standard is 2 pets (dogs and cats) per unit. Pet owners must provide proof of current rabies shot at time of check-in. Pets are not allowed in standard rooms; if pets are found in a non-pet friendly room, a fee of $150 will be charged.

VQs

The VQ rate is $56.00 per night. If on-base quarters are not available, then contract quarters for Priority 1 guests will be utilized. Non-availability statements/numbers are issued when on-base quarters and contract quarters are not available.

E-9/O-6 and above civilian equivalent. Individuals requesting DV suites should contact Wing Protocol at DSN 315-634-0106/1808.

TLFs

There are 112 family units on Kadena AB with a cost of $161.00 per night. Due to the high volume of guests, families PCSing in are authorized up to 30 days in a TLF. Extensions will only be granted on a space-available basis. TLFs are normally available however, during the peak PCS season May to September families may have to secure lodging at off-base hotels.

It is important that you or your sponsor make reservations for TLF as soon as you receive your port call.
