If you have been a victim of sexual assault and would like to make a restricted or unrestricted report, please contact the 24 hour Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program at 701-340-8882. You may also contact the Law Enforcement Desk at 701-723-3096.

If you have been a victim of intimate partner domestic violence and/or intimate partner sexual assault and would like to make to make a restricted or unrestricted report, please contact the 24 hour domestic abuse victim advocate at 701-343-3431 or during duty hours, contact family advocacy at 701-723-5096.

If you have been a victim of child abuse and would like to make a report, contact family advocacy at 701-723-5096 during duty hours. You can also contact Ward County Social Services, Child Protection Services at 701-852-3552.

Plan for the unexpected! Air Force Aid Society can provide financial assistance based upon need through 0% interest loans and grants. Financial assistance includes: basic living expenses (food, shelter, utilities), medical expenses not covered by TRI CARE/CHAMPUS, dental not covered by Concordia, funeral expenses for dependents of active duty members, emergency transportation and essential car repairs. Complete your online application at https://my.afas.org/MemberPortal/Login/Login.aspx and call 701-723-3950 to schedule your appointment with an Air Force Aid case manager.  If you are not near a military installation, contact the American Red Cross, they have a reciprocal agreement with the Air Force Aid Society to meet your need.

The American Red Cross is available for any emergency, wherever you are located. Contact the American Red Cross at 800-733-2767. The Red Cross can contact your base and keep them abreast of your situation. Quick communication with your home about family emergencies is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including verification of death or serious illness of immediate family, birth announcements to fathers deployed overseas, and health and welfare reports resulting from a lack of communication over a long period of time. If the Red Cross can't cover the financial emergency, they have a reciprocal agreement with the Air Force Aid Society to meet your need.

First, make sure you have all your important papers with you - not packed with your household goods. Numbers for your gaining commander, commander support staff and your sponsor can be invaluable in case of an emergency while in transit. Also have contact information for your creditors (don't list your full account number, just the last four digits) available in case of a lost wallet or other emergency.

The Salvation Army is another good source of information and assistance in an emergency. The Minot Salvation Army can be reached at 701-838-8925. See their web page for more information.

No matter how well you've planned, emergencies do happen. It is important that family members know how to contact you while you are en-route to your new assignment. All military members in transit should give a copy of their orders and itinerary to a family member who is not traveling with them. This gives family members, law enforcement officials etc., a way to contact you in case of an emergency. Always carry a copy of your leave and earnings statement and your orders with you!
