Ricardo ISD offers a K through 8th grade program. Riviera ISD offers Pre-K through 12th grade. School in South Texas starts in mid-August. Some year-round and alternate calendar schools will start in July. Each year, The State of Texas offers an Annual Sales Tax Holiday - purchases of most clothing and footwear priced under $100.00 are exempt from sales and use taxes. Please check with your school before purchasing too much clothing. Some schools require students to wear clothing in specific colors (not uniforms) only. The Chaplain's office also holds “Operation School Supply” in the summer to provide school supplies for military families. Information on this event will be sent out via All Hands emails and shared on social media.
Under a new law, active-duty families are eligible to enroll their child in the district of their choice as long as they provide transportation to the school. Transportation will be provided if your student resides within the district. Ricardo has no High School so you can select either Kingsville, Santa Gertrudis or Riviera from Ricardo.
TRAWING 2 student pilots have a distance/drive time requirement that may not allow you to live in Calallen or Corpus Christi. Please confirm with your command.
