It’s likely that employment will change when a move occurs, especially for military spouses. The information below will provide you with employment assistance information and resources available such as SECO, MyCAA and MSEP Portals.
The NAS Kingsville Fleet and Family Support Center (NASK FFSC) Family Employment Readiness Program (FERP) offers assistance to military spouses and family members exploring employment, education, and career development opportunities as they relocate and adapt to their new duty station. Employment services include career counseling, job search assistance, resume and cover letter guidance, interview preparation, education and training resources, entrepreneurship support, and employment readiness workshops.

Please bring a copy of your most current resume and the position description of the job you are pursuing. We ask that you please call NASK FFSC at 361-516-6333 to schedule an appointment with an Employment Educator and discuss any additional documentation you may need to bring to your appointment.
The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) equips transitioning service members and their families with the tools, information, and resources they need to successfully reintegrate into civilian life, whether through employment, education, entrepreneurship, or retirement.

The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance to eligible military spouses for the pursuit of a license, certification or associate degree or for continuing education courses to maintain a license or certification necessary for employment. The MyCAA Scholarship is part of the Defense Department Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, which offers comprehensive coaching, information, tools and resources to support military spouses in meeting their career and education goals.
