The Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department at NWS Earle is an active, on going program that keeps the military children busy and involved. For more information contact the Youth Activities Center at 732-866-2148.
A wide variety of programs are available through the Navy Youth Program managed by the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department. Primary programs include:
Programs are supervised and directed by a staff of qualified recreation professionals. Activities are designed to be fun and to promote physical fitness, encourage creativity and develop lifelong recreation skills.
Before and After School Program
The Before and After School Program (BASP) is designed to meet the needs of school-aged youth in the hours before and after school. Organized and supervised recreation activities are planned and conducted at specific times before and after regular school hours. Attendance is closely monitored at all times. Parents/guardians are required to sign the youth into and out of the program on a daily basis. A ratio of one staff member to fifteen children is rigidly enforced.
Summer Day Camp
During the summer the Before and After School Program is replaced with a day camp program. The day camp program is offered for youth between the ages of 6 and 12 (older teens may be included as teen leaders). Day camp activities include arts and crafts, sports, games, swimming, field trips, outdoor recreation, nature walks, cultural programs and special events.

Youth Employment
The Youth Center particpates in Youth Summer Employment Program. For youth employment classes, seminars and individual guidance, contact the Youth Activities Director.
Youth Center
The Youth Center, located in Building C-62 offers youth ages 10-18 opportunities to engage in social recreational activities. The Youth Program is an affiliate of the Boys and Girls Club of America and particpates in 4-H Club as well. Supervised activities include:

Teen Night, for youth ages 13-18 (must be in high school), is Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Pre-Teen Night, for youth 9-12 years of age, is Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
There are no Youth Sports, Youth Religious Programs or Girl/Boy Scouts on NWS Earle. Please contact local schools and community organizations for information about these programs.
