Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
Deployments are an inevitable part of military life. Despite the challenges of separation and change, deployments can be managed. Information and skill building are key to managing the deployment.
The Fleet and Family Support Center recognizes deployment readiness and understands that it is a priority for commands, service members and their families. The FFSC has counselors available to assist service members and their families in successfully managing the separation and reunion cycles associated with the Navy's operational cycle.
Years of experience and knowledge about the deployment process make it possible to design a series of informational programs and support services. FFSC provides support during the three stages of the deployment cycle:
Children and Deployment
Naval Weapons Station Earle FFSC provides age appropriate materials for children whose parent is deploying. These materials are given out during the Pre-deployment Brief or during one-on-one consultations with our deployment specialists. Naval Weapons Station Earle FFSC has DVD’s, journals, coloring books and calendars that are geared to helping young children identify and relate to their feelings of concern, anxiety and other emotions or questions they may have about their parent's deployment.
Individual Augmentee Support
With the current demands and need for support for the Global War on Terrorism, many service members are being selected to serve as individual augmentees. This can be a voluntary or nonvoluntary assignment depending on the skills needed. Contact Naval Weapons Station Earle FFSC 732-866-2115 or visit the FFSC website for information regarding resources, support groups and any other questions you might have.
Naval Weapons Station Earle Ombudsman
Naval Weapons Station The ombudsman is a vital link between the command and the family members while the service member is deployed. Please contact Naval Weapons Station Earle FFSC for contact information regarding Naval Weapons Station Earle command ombudsman, visit the FFSC website to contact your ombudsman or visit the Ombudsman Registry website to locate your ombudsman.
