Temporary Housing

Deer Run Lodging is located in a wooded area on Naval Weapons Station Earle. Patrons can choose to stay in the 22-room hotel or one of 10 fully furnished townhomes. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to stay in the hotel with guests. There is no priority for PCS or temporary duty travel orders.

Pets are only permitted in townhomes and the hotel if they are a service pet or at one of the two pet friendly townhomes. Some local hotels allow pets, and there are local pet boarding facilities. (See check-in procedures and household goods - shipping pets for more information)

There are two options for temporary lodgings for transferring service members, their families and civilians, Deer Run Lodging and local hotels.

Deer Run Lodging

Local Hotels

There are many hotels in the surrounding area. Room rates vary depending upon the hotel, size of the room and time of the year.

Eligibility/Orders

All eligible patrons will be asked to present an ID card. Current military, Department of Defense or Department of Transportation ID cards are accepted. There is no priority for PCS or TDY orders. Please plan ahead when you make your travel arrangements.

Pet Restriction

Pets are not permitted in townhomes or the hotel unless they are service pets. Some local hotels allow pets, and there are local pet boarding facilities. (See check-in procedures and household goods - shipping pets for more information)

Reservations/Cancellation Policy

Reservations may be made by active-duty 12 months in advance and for retirees and DOD, six months in advance. A credit card is needed to secure reservations at Deer Run Lodging. All major credit cards and cash are accepted for payment. There is a one-day room charge for any cancellations or no shows unless the cancellation has been made with Deer Run office before 2 p.m. two weeks before the reserved date of arrival.

Check-In Procedures

MWR can accept check-ins Monday - Friday at the front desk, building C-29 from starting at 3 p.m. Special check-in times for weekends or after hours may be arranged by calling the lodging coordinator, 732-866-2448.

Fee Structure

Townhomes: Contact officer for pricing at 732-866-2448. (Housekeeping is not available in any townhome units.)
Hotel Rooms: active-duty and reservists standard rooms, $80 per night; All other authorized patrons standard rooms, $90 per night
