Installation Specific Information
The Military and Family Readiness Center is the focal point for relocation assistance. The Relocation Assistance Office provides current information, services, counseling and education concerning relocation as it relates to the family life cycle. They accomplish this through the internet, which has information you can customize for a personalized relocation plan. They also collaborate and coordinate with other federal, state and civilian agencies that provide relocation and other assistance services. The Relocation Office also offers checklists, numerous pamphlets/handouts, seminars and one-on-one consultations, and the Loan Closet to assist with all aspects of the relocation process. For additional information or to contact the M&FRC, call 702-652-3327 or DSN 312-682-3327.
Be sure to make the M&FRC Relocation Office the first stop as we will provide you with relocation guides for Las Vegas as well as maps of Nellis Air Force Base and the Las Vegas area. We also have school information and can help you find answers to your relocation questions.
If you are PCSing and are active-duty Air Force, the Air Force Aid Society pays for 20 hours of child care per child at the gaining and losing installations. Contact the M&FRC for details and a certificate of eligibility.
If you are coming to Nellis Air Force Base for the purpose of separating/retiring from the Air Force, your first stop should be the Separations Section of the Military Personnel Flight. They will assist you with all aspects of the process. You should also contact the transition assistance manager at the Military and Family Readiness Center.
