Emergency Assistance Overview

If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.

Emergency Assistance

The American Red Cross is available for emergency assistance. Contact the nearest chapter by calling 877-272-7337. Dependent on the situation, they may be able to help with emergency financial assistance and contacting individuals that will need to know where you are and what's happening. It is also recommended that you locate the nearest military installation for help. You may also request assistance from the Air Force Aid Society, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society or Army Emergency Relief found at afas.org.

You can customize a personal relocation plan at planmymove.militaryonesource.mil and acquire all the important contact information you may need for your PCS to Offutt AFB. Suggested contact numbers to have handy when PCSing are: your Commander, First Sergeant, Commander's support staff, installation command post, and your sponsor. It is important for you to maintain contact with someone at your gaining unit, know who to call during an emergency, update them on your status, and let them know any needs you may have during your move.
