Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
The Airman and Family Readiness Center provides pre-deployment and reintegration briefings for members and their families (spouses are highly encouraged to attend). The information includes planning documents, reunion, voting, finance education, available Mental Health resources and information about benefits for spouses staying behind. These include:

Special for the children of deployed
At the pre-deployment briefing, the deployer may choose a free blanket/quilt and a doll for each child. The family will also receive numerous deployment-related materials for children such as coloring/activity books, calendars, books and letter writing kits.
