Deployment Support Overview

Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.

The Military and Family Readiness Center provides pre-deployment and reintegration briefings for members and their families (spouses are highly encouraged to attend). The briefing includes planning documents, reunion, voting, finance education, available mental health resources, a doll for each child of the deployed, a free blanket/quilt, and information for your family members to include:

  • Deployment Childcare is provide for pre, during, and post deployment. 16 hours per child at each stage is allowed.
  • Families of the Deployed events 
  • A support resource hub for families with coloring/activity books, educational discourse, letter writing kits, calendars, goodies, and more!
