Financial Assistance

Robins Air Force Base has a Personal Financial Management Program at the Robins Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) ready to assist you with all your personal financial needs. Personal appointments are available.  There is an Accredited Financial Counselor to assist with basic to more advanced financial planning needs. 

From basic budgets to Thrift Savings Plan reviews, the M&FRC has a vast array of financial information.

Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) is available for emergency financial situations. 

There is also the Military Finance Office, which can be reached by calling Commercial: 478-926-4022/DSN: 468-4022 and is ready to assist with all your military pay matters. They are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. *Closed every first Wednesday, Federal Holidays and AFMC Family Days.  Location: 215 Page Road, Robins AFB, GA, 31098 (First floor).

When relocating, you are eligible to draw an Advance Pay to assist with costs associated with the permanent change of station. Remember these repayments will be automatically withdrawn from the service member's pay monthly, which can reduce monthly income.

• Median costs for housing range: $170,500 - $230,000
• Property Taxes: The local effective property tax rate is per $1,000 of fair market value. It is calculated by taking the fair market value, multiplying that number by 40% and multiplying it by the mileage rate.
• Costs for temporary housing range from $974 to more than $1,898.
• Costs for electricity range from $75 to more than $200.
• Car Insurance Coverage: Georgia consumers must have automobile liability insurance for at least the minimum limits required by law to drive on the Georgia public roads and highways. The minimum limits of liability required under Georgia law are bodily injury liability of $25,000 per person or $50,000 per occurrence and property damage liability of $25,000 per occurrence.
• Sales tax is 7%.
