If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. The Torii Education Center provides many educational opportunities which include secondary certificates, as well as Associate and Baccalaureate programs. The following adult institutions are represented at the Torii Education Center: Central Texas College, University of Maryland University College while stationed on Okinawa.

The USAG Okinawa - Torii Station, Education Center is located in building 207 Torii Station. The education center is in a temporary facility that has two classrooms, 12-seat computer classroom, a testing office, and a University of Maryland Global Campus representative. The education center offers a full range of ACES Programs and Services. Our professional education services personnel offer a holistic counseling approach that includes career, educational, credentialing, and financial aid counseling.
ACES programs include Counseling, Credentialing Assistance, College Programs, Tuition Assistance, Army Personnel Testing, Basic Skills Education Program, and Career Skills Programs.
