A wide range of programs are available for youth and teens, including youth sports and recreation programs, educational programs and programs that support leadership and career development. Please review the information to learn what programs and services are available at this installation.
To participate in any Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) activity, a registration fee, 2 emergency designees, Immunization record and a Health Assessment (due 30 days from registration) must be completed at Central Registration before participation begins.
Participation in any CYSS sport or SKIESUnlimited non-competitive sports program requires a current Health Assessment at time of registration.
CYS Services On-Line
WebTrac enables MWR customers to pay for goods and services online from the comfort of their own home. This includes paying for your childcare fees, making hourly reservations, signing up for SKIES or Youth Sports classes, viewing past receipts and also printing your own tax statements.

Youth Employment
Thanks to the United States Army Europe's Summer Hire Program, teens and young adults can gain an insight into the working world. People who sign up for the program are matched with full-time summer jobs. Potential employers include the local Fitness Center, Army Community Service (ACS), Child, Youth and School Services, etc.
Eligibility is restricted to spouses under 18 years of age who are in High School and unmarried children (age 14-23) of soldiers and employees of government agencies or non-appropriated fund organizations.

Youth Centers
There are 2 Youth Centers in the Community. Youth between the ages of 11 and 18 can participate in any Youth Services (YS) program. Each Youth Center offers a variety of activities that include:
Some clubs offered include Torch and Keystone Clubs which focus on leadership development as well as community service, 4-H clubs which include gardening and photography and the fishing club.
Each Youth Center contains a Youth Technology Lab, where youth engage in various leading edge technology innovations. Youth are able to utilize state-of-the-art technologies to include:
Youth Sports and Fitness
Basketball, Baseball, Cheerleading, Soccer, Football, Track & Field, Golf and others sports are available.
Sports & Fitness programs provide opportunities for children and youth to be engaged in fun physical activities and to develop life-long healthy habits - acquiring the life skills to achieve a balanced lifestyle for mind, body, and spirit. Youth Sports has adopted the philosophy of the National Alliance For Youth Sports (NAYS) by striving to place the athlete first and winning second in our athletic program. Parents should support their young Athletes sports experience and de-emphasize "winning at all cost". Your participation is encouraged. Having fun, improving skills, staying in shape, and experiencing friendly competition are the benefits we hope your child will receive from this program. (Ages 3-18 years)
SKIES Unlimited
SKIESUnlimited encompasses instructional programs for children & youth from infancy to adolescence i.e., 1 year of age through the end of their senior year in high school. Through SKIESUnlimited, children and youth in Family Child Care, Child Development Center, School Age Services, Middle School and Teen Programs have equal access to opportunities that expand their knowledge, inspire them, allow them to explore, and acquire new skills. Courses such as gymnastics, dance, martial arts, piano, guitar and much more will be offered. (Ages 1-18 years)
HIRED!
Have you ever wondered what the real world would be like? Now is your chance to experience what it's like to be HIRED! Throughout 12-weeks, youth ages 15 to 18 will engage in meaningful, professionally managed, career exploration opportunities in Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) operations. The apprenticeship will also offer exciting and interactive career and college prep workshops, as well as educational incentive awards made available for teens 17 to 18 years of age. The HIRED! Apprentice Program offers valuable paid work experience and training that will better equip each participant with the skills needed for a highly competitive job market.
EDGE!
Discover cutting-edge art, fitness, life skills and adventure activities with FMWR & CYS Services. The Edge program is designed to educate, develop and excel children and youth through creative, extracurricular experiences. Learn the fundamentals with various activities that will spark your youth's interest and expand their social and learning skills.
Student to Student Sponsorship Program
Schools provide a Student to Student (S2S) program for new students. This program assists incoming students with getting to know the school and becoming familiar with the community. Request for an S2S sponsor can be made through the School Liaison Officer.
Youth Services include a Youth Employment program; Youth Sports; Middle School/Teen Center; SKIESUnlimited; Youth Sponsorship; School Age Services and Leisure Activities. For more information contact 011-49-9662-83-2670.
USAG Bavaria chapel services run individual religious education programs. For those, it is simplest to contact the individual service pastors or just show up for services and ask.
In addition, MCYM/Club Beyond provides a garrison-wide youth ministry for teens in grades 6-12. Programs include weekly club meetings, small group studies, retreats, service projects, trips and camps, and special events. All youth are welcome, and joining Club Beyond is as simple as showing up. If you'd like information on Club Beyond, contact us before you arrive, and we can email the calendar and schedule.
Children and youth of all ages can participate in a variety of athletic and instructional programs. Seasonal team sports are coordinated and include soccer, basketball, softball, etc. Additional instructional programs may include karate, gymnastics, and dance. Additional classes may be available depending on current demand. Teen fees: Once registered, teens can participate at each Teen Center at no cost. Special events and trips are available with minimal fees.
Middle School after school program is offered at the Youth Center-Falcon's Nest. It's open to youth in grades 6-9. Enjoy a daily snack at no charge and participate in the many activities offered. You can just sit and chat with friends or play video or table games. It's a relaxing environment and a great place to make new friends. Youth participates in their own calendar of events. You can help plan swimming, shopping, go-carting and spring break trips. You can also help program daily events like ice cream socials, pool tournaments, dances and a lot more. It's a great place to go and a safe place for parents to send their children.
The Vilseck High School offers a lot of activities to keep a student busy for the whole year. Here are some examples: Middle School: Science Club, Step Team, Multicultural Club, and Student Council. High School: Chess Club, Student Council, band, Chorus, FBLA (must be enrolled in a business class), Peer Helpers, Academic games, Drama, homecoming Committee, Prom Committee, AVID.
Vilseck High School offers following Sports Activities: Football, Cross Country, Cheerleading, Tennis, Golf, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Winter Cheerleading, Soccer, Track and Field, Softball.
Teens in Middle School or High School can participate in any Youth Services (YS) program. Each Youth Center in Netzaberg and Rose Barracks offers activities that include: play stations, teen meetings, pool tournaments, barbecue parties, swimming trips, sports night, video and popcorn night, Nintendo tournaments, special craft or cooking nights, and weekend trips.
