Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
Army Community Service welcomes you to the United States Army Garrison Bavaria, Tower and Rose Barracks.
We would like to invite you to our Newcomers Orientations, Hallo USAG Bavaria and German as a Second Language classes to make the transition as smooth as possible. Join us and make new friends while learning about the area and picking up some survival German culture, customs and language skills. Orientations ease the transition and introduce participants to the German culture, language, military life in U.S. Army Europe and answer any questions pertaining to the local area. Stop in at our office at Tower Barracks (Grafenwoehr), Building 244, or Rose Barracks (Vilseck), Building 322, to find out which of the many programs is for you.
The ACS Relocation Readiness Program offers a variety of services to aid Soldiers and families in the process of transition. Welcome packets are available for in-office viewing on virtually every Department of Defense installation in the world. The information provided shows an overview on your next duty station, living accommodations, facility programs and cultural highlights that will ease your transition.
The Lending Closet offers a variety of basic household items such as cookware, dinnerware, pots and pans, dishes, silverware and small electric appliances, including microwaves, toasters and coffeemakers. Generally, towels and bed linens are not available, so these should be packed in your hold baggage. Lending Closet services by Appointment only !
All separating and retiring military personnel are required by law to attend a pre-separation briefing presented by the Transition Assistance Program. Separating Soldiers and their spouses may attend once they are within one year of separation. In addition, we provide transition assistance such as career guidance, counseling, instruction on job-search techniques and resume preparation.
