The Army Continuing Education System (ACES) provides educational opportunities to Soldiers, adult family members, and civilian employees. The education center staff's goal is to vigorously promote lifelong learning opportunities for Soldiers and all members of the community. The education centers offer services such as guidance counseling, post-secondary college programs, testing, Basic Education Skills Program (BSEP) and Multi-use Learning Facility (MLF).
Education centers in the USAG Bavaria area (Tower & Rose Barracks) offer a wide variety of degree programs through traditional classes and distance education. The colleges that operate in the area are University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) and Embry Riddle Aeronautics University (ERAU).
Community members may also choose from many online universities. Always consult an Army Education guidance counselor before committing funds to any school so that the school's accreditation can be assessed. Soldiers will access their tuition assistance (TA) and Credentialing Assistance (CA) benefits by registering for classes through the ArmyIgnited portal. All colleges listed at the ArmyIgnited portal are regionally or nationally accredited and recognized by the Department of Education. Most schools listed in the ArmyIgnited portal typically award college credit for military experience and occupational specialties in accordance with established guidelines in the American Council on Education (ACE) guide.

Additionally, the ASE and GED battery is offered at our testing sections as well as proctoring services for students involved in distance education programs.
