Childcare availability in USAG Rheinland-Pfalz varies from one installation to the next. USAG RP communities have significant childcare waiting lists. Soldiers and DoD Civilian Employees who are on orders to USAG RP may sign up for the waiting list of centers in the area by visiting Military Childcare.
If there are exceptional circumstances that require you to travel into Frankfurt International Airport, you must travel in civilian clothing and refrain from using your military issue duffels, rucksack, or anything that would single you out as an American Service Member. There is no shuttle service, support or oversight for those arriving in Frankfurt International Airport. You must communicate your itinerary and transportation needs with your sponsor. So, plan accordingly, gather all of your contacts prior to arriving to the country. Make sure you have their local phone number, WhatsApp number, Messenger and more. Make sure to preregister on your transportation or reservation/shuttle prior to your arrival. Do your research and plan ahead.

Soldiers and DOD Civilian Employees can add their children to the installation programs’ waitlists at any time before relocating to USAG Rheinland-Pfalz by visiting MilitaryChildCare.com.
