If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. College Classes
The Tri-Services Schools here in Europe offer multiple undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as certificate programs. University of Maryland Global Campus and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University are contracted to provide face-to-face, online and hybrid classes for the Service Members assigned to Europe. Visit the schools’ official websites for details on programs of study offered by each college and university. Contact an Army Education Center or the school academic representative for more information on degree programs, course funding, term or semester schedules and special Family Member fees.
Courses are offered days, evenings and weekends. Methods of study include face-to-face, on-line, video based independent study and hybrid (a combination of face-to-face and online study).
Spouses and Family Members of Active Duty and Retired Military may also find tuition/grant assistance through their respective Emergency Relief Societies.

Testing Services (By Appointment Only):
The Army Education Centers operate the largest Military education program in Europe, making degree completion realistic during your tour in Germany. They provide information on schools, tests, courses required for degrees, financial aid and additional services. The ArmyIgnitED Tuition Assistance program is available for Soldiers with an active ArmyIgnitED student account. Soldiers can apply for this benefit at ArmyIgnitED.
