Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
Should you be selected to deploy while stationed at Whiteman, you can be assured that you will receive information regarding all military and personal obligations you may have. The Military and Family Readiness Center conducts a weekly pre-deployment briefing, every Thursday at 1:00 pm. If you are tasked to deploy, it is mandatory for you to attend per your out-processing checklist. We highly recommend you and your spouse attend as soon as you are notified.
Sustainment Events
There are squadron support groups and Hearts Apart to support separated families. Each unit has an active Key Spouse program to support spouses and families. Hearts Apart events are led by the Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) each month. Should you have questions please contact the readiness non-commissioned officer at the Military and Family Readiness Center, (660) 687-7132. Additionally, the Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) provides programs dedicated to taking care of families with financial emergencies.
