A wide range of programs are available for youth and teens, including youth sports and recreation programs, educational programs and programs that support leadership and career development. Please review the information to learn what programs and services are available at this installation.
The Aviano Youth Center provides a safe and engaging environment that supports social connection, leadership, and recreation for youth assigned to Aviano Air Base.The Teen Center is located in Area One and offers gaming on Xbox and PS5 consoles, pool tables, and other recreational activities. Wi‑Fi is available for homework and social connection. Youth must have a current physical and up‑to‑date immunizations prior to registration.The Teen Sponsorship Program helps teens transition to Italy. Families may contact the Teen Director at DSN 314‑632‑7575 to request a sponsorship form. Once completed, teens are matched with peers who share similar interests.
Youth Programs (AYP) at Aviano Air Base offer structured programs that support physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Programs include School Age Care, Open Recreation, Instructional Classes, and Youth Sports & Fitness.School Age Care serves children in Kindergarten through 6th grade and is COA‑accredited. The program provides before‑ and after‑school care and full‑day care on non‑school days in a safe, supervised environment.Open Recreation programs are available for pre‑teens ages 9–12 and teens ages 13–18 and include Boys & Girls Club and 4‑H activities, field trips, and expanded programming during non‑school days.Instructional Classes include Ballet, Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Karate, Tumbling, and Cheer. All participants must have current immunizations. Community members interested in teaching a class are encouraged to reach out.Youth Sports & Fitness programs include basketball, baseball/softball, soccer, and flag football for ages 5–15, as well as T‑ball and Smart Start programs for ages 3–4.
