A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
Aviano Air Base no longer has a Loan Closet, but kitchen kits and GPS units are available to rent at the Outdoor Recreation Office, Building 1479 (behind the base exchange/commissary complex by the roundabout, near the South Gate). Rental fees vary, based on length and type of rental. Kitchen kits contain dishware and cookware. Outdoor Recreation can be reached at DSN 314-632-8623 or Commercial 011-39-0434-30-8623.

Aviano AB does not have a Loan Closet. However, the base's Outdoor Recreation does have kitchen kits and GPS's for loan. Please call Outdoor Recreation at DSN 314-632-8623 or commercial 011-39-0434-30-8623. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; and Family/Goal Days, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Outdoor Recreation is closed on holidays.
Additionally, each squadron may have a form of a Loan Closet, please communicate your needs to your sponsor.
