A wide range of programs are available for youth and teens, including youth sports and recreation programs, educational programs and programs that support leadership and career development. Please review the information to learn what programs and services are available at this installation.
The Youth Center, Bldg 1755, has a variety of programs for the F. E. Warren AFB youth and is affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club. Programs are available for Before and After School; Summer Day Camp; Pre-teen Open Recreation Program; Teen Center; Sports Programs; Religious Activities; and Youth Employment.
Youth Programs, located at the Youth Center, 1755 Piute Drive includes an accredited Before and After School and Summer Day Camp for ages 5-12, an Open Recreation Program for ages 9-12 and 13-18 on weekdays, and a diverse Sports Program. The Youth Sports Program offers a wide array of organized sports activities to develop physical, emotional and social skills in our youth. Youth ages 5-18 can experience the enjoyment and development that participation in the sports program offers. The First Steps basketball and soccer programs provide an opportunity for parents to participate with their children 3-5 years old. All coaches are trained and certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association. Our unique P.E. class for Homeschooled youth meets the district Physical Education requirement.
A wide array of organized sports activities are offered to help develop physical skills and to mature the emotional and social development of our youth.
Kids Pen Pal Program: The Kids Pen Pal program was been established to help kids who are relocating and need help adjusting to the stress and frustration associated with moving. Contact the Relocation Assistance Program at DSN 312-481-5946 or commercial 307-773-5946 to sign up.
The Youth Programs provide 4-H projects and activities through a University of Wyoming Military 4-H grant. Scrapbooking, cooking, rocketry, skateboarding, and journaling are just a few of the 4-H projects available. Youth prepare 4-H projects annually to compete in the Laramie County Fair.
Fit Factor and Fit Family
Fit Factor and Fit Family health and fitness activities are available for youth ages 5-18 and families. WTA Quick Start tennis is offered and instructional classes in Kempo Karate are available. Open Recreation Programs
The Open Recreation programs are designed with the preteen and teenager in mind. Activities such as field trips, parties, dances, games, contests, pool table, ping pong, videogames, open gym, and other activities make this a hit with our youth.
The Teen Center, located at 6205 Randall Ave., serves ages 13-18 and/or those currently enrolled in 7th grade. Activities and special events include movie critics club, karaoke, community service projects, lock-ins, contests, fine arts programs and a pleasant environment for hanging out with friends. Field trips and special camps such as dance, music, and movie making expand the horizons of our teens.
Social Programs to Include Before and After School & Summer Day Camp
The Before and After School and Summer Day Camp Programs offer a variety of social and instructional activities in a state of the art center. As a National Afterschool Association accredited program, we place the highest priority on each child’s health, safety, social development and academic support in our School Age program. Children have the opportunity to work with computers, do homework, and participate in organized activities. Youth are offered a chance to explore new places and ideas, develop new skills, build friendships and have fun!
Boys and Girls Clubs
The Boys and Girls Club of America affiliation offers opportunities for exploring new interests; building leadership skills; support for academic success; recognition through Youth of the Year program; fine arts projects; life skills, and service to the community through Torch Club and Keystone Club.

The Y.E.S. Program is an on base volunteer program for high school students funded by the Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) and jointly administered by AFAS and Air Force Services Family Member Support Program Division. Eligible youth volunteers are current freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior dependent sons and daughters of active duty Air Force Members assigned to F.E. Warren AFB. Students have the opportunity to bank $4 for every hour volunteered for use towards a post secondary education program (a maximum of $1000 may be earned).
Parent Advisory Board Meetings
Parent Advisory Board meetings are held on a regular basis. For exact dates contact the Youth Center by calling or going to our website (see first paragraph). All parents of CDC, Youth Center and Family Child Care are invited to attend. This offers parents a way to become involved in their child’s program, give ideas and support to increase quality.
