With certain military moves, you may find yourself looking for housing that’s a little less permanent before making long-term arrangements. There are several temporary housing options that may be right for you. Explore the information about temporary housing facilities including allowances, lodging rates and eligibility.
Crow Creek Inn Lodging has a business center for deployed personnel and spouses of deployed personnel for use to communicate with family members. The Business Center is for Crow Creek Inn Lodging guests. E-mail and a copy machine are available. A fax machine is also available for official use and base to base communication.
Crow Creek Inn is F. E. Warren's official lodging facility and can be reached at 307-773-3077 or DSN 312-481-3077. Make reservations well in advance. If at all possible, do not plan to arrive just before or during the last two full weeks of July. Go to your local Military Personnel Flight (MPF) and have your report date extended to arrive in the first part of August. This is the time of the Annual Frontier Days Celebration in Cheyenne and space on base will be at a premium. All lodging in Cheyenne and the surrounding area will be limited (if available at all) and what is available will be very, very, expensive. Personnel with PCS orders have priority but that does not guarantee more than 10-days in TLF during Frontier Days. Crow Creek Inn has a limited number of pet-friendly rooms so it would be wise to make pet-room reservations ASAP.
Francis E. Warren AFB is a historic 1867 cavalry post that offers modern visiting quarters in nine historic brick buildings located throughout the base. Originally built in the early 1900s, the rooms have been upgraded to highlight the beauty of the past with the modern conveniences of today. We offer standard visiting quarters with a queen bed and temporary living facilities (TLFs) with up to three bedrooms and kitchenettes for larger families.
To make your stay pleasant and comfortable, the reception desk is open 24 hours a day. A guest services representative is always on duty to assist you. A variety of toiletry and snack items are available for sale at the reception desk. The lobby area also has two computers provided for guest use. Free fax and copy service is available for official business purposes.
Note: Due to current housing shortages, member's may incur additional costs remaining in TLF longer than 10 days while trying to secure rental properties downtown.
The Inn offers eight pet-friendly TLFs. And you may reserve these in advance. There is a 2-pet limit (dogs and/or cats) and shot records will be required before checking into a pet-friendly room.
Generally, those that have a Department of Defense identification card are eligible to make reservations for base lodging.
Reservations, Availability & Maximum Length of Stay
Temporary duty and permanent change of station personnel can make reservations up to one year in advance. Space-available reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance depending on projected room occupancy. Reservations are limited to a 30-day maximum stay. Space-A reservations are a great option for those passing through Cheyenne, those visiting friends and family here at F. E. Warren AFB, and for those that just want to get away for a night or two. Please call 1-888-AFLODGE (1-888-235-6343) for further information or to check if desired dates are available and how early a room can be booked.
Note: If you are PCSing into F. E. Warren AFB during the month of July, please be aware that the city’s largest event, Cheyenne Frontier Days, attracts over 200,000 visitors. Lodging books quickly. Downtown hotels are very expensive and on-base availability is limited--you’ll want to make your reservations ASAP.
F.E. Warren also maintains the Fort D.A. Russell FamCamp for those who camp or RV.
