Deployment Support Overview

Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.

Upon receiving their pre-deployment briefing, family members remaining at home station are eligible for the programs listed below:

  • Give Parents a Break and Family Child Care Program Services are offered to alleviate the stressors of family separation by providing respite so the parent remaining behind can gain some peace of mind and reestablish balance in life. Programs are funded through the Air Force Aid Society.
  • Waiting Warriors is a Spouse Support Group that provides an opportunity to connect with other spouses/family members experiencing separation (Shift work to the field, TDY, Deployment, Remote Tour) on the 1st & 3rd Friday of every month at the Chapel Annex Bldg.

Pre-Deployment Brief

Pre-Deployment Briefs prepare military members for their deployment and family members are always encouraged to attend. To learn when and where the briefings are held call 307-773-5899.

Free & Discounted Trips through Outdoor Recreation for Deployed Families

The M&FRC has partnered with Outdoor Rec to offer Free or discounted monthly trips for Deployed Families. To learn when and where the trips are being held call 307-773-5899. The partnership is funded by the AF Recharge for Resiliency Program.

Programs for Children of Deployed Members

The M&FRC holds special gatherings for children & spouses of deployed at various times throughout the year. Contact 307-773-5899 for more information.
