Research Federal appropriated fund job openings or call the Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) office at 307-773-2097 for other installation job openings. Also, research City, County and State employment opportunities.
Jobs in the services sector that require unskilled workers, such as fast food restaurants and entry level retail sales are almost unlimited. Wages in these areas are $5.15 to $7.50 per hour. Also available are jobs for nurse's aids and bank tellers and wages in these areas are $7.50 to $9.00 per hour. Openings usually exist for experienced clerical workers. Those with accurate typing, word processing, computer, and advanced computer skills will find employment more quickly. Blue collar position¿s main focus is in construction and warehousing and these wages are $8.00 to $18.00 per hour.
Cheyenne also has professional openings for nurses, teachers, travel agents, and some engineers, salary would be negotiable. Those looking for upper level banking positions have somewhat limited opportunities.
Most clerical and professional jobs that existed in the Civil Service system on the installation have been affected by downsizing and Priority Placement Programs making openings rare.
