Registration for Child Care is completed through militarychildcare.com (mcc.com). Mcc.com is the one stop place to request care for Child Development Centers (CDC), School Age Care, Summer Camp, and Family Child Care (FCC) worldwide. The wait for infant and pre-toddler (up to two year old) childcare at the CDC can be up to six to twelve months for Priority 1.B.2 parents (single active duty and dual active duty) and up to two years for other priorities. Infant spaces with JB Andrews Family Child Care Providers or on the local economy are equally difficult to obtain. 2-5 year old spaces may become available at the CDC and at FCC providers usually about 60-90 days dependent on the family’s priority. Summer Camp also fills quickly. If you are unable to obtain child care in the JB Andrews Programs, Child Care Aware and Military Child Care In Your Neighborhood supports fee assistance in programs for active duty military and activated guard and reserve members within the local community. For fee assistance and finding child care on the local economy please visit childcareaware.org . Additional resources for child care in the DMV are marylandfamilynetwork.org and childcareconntections.osse.dc.gov (Washington D.C.).
