Installation Specific Information
Your sponsor will be your most important support system at JB Andrews prior to your arrival. You may request a sponsor through your local Military Personnel Flight. The request will be forwarded to JB Andrews. Your sponsor may be able to meet you when you arrive. If you are bringing your family, your sponsor can also assist with making lodging arrangements. If you are single and E-4 with less than three years of time in the service, email your sponsor a copy of your orders to arrange a dorm room in advance.
You will be scheduled for a mandatory Welcome to Andrews Newcomer's Orientation once you check in to the MPF or your unit. Please note that commanders are notified of no-shows. The Newcomers Orientation also holds an information fair where you will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from many base and local community agencies.
