Legal Assistance

The Law Center provides legal support and advice to command and other agencies in reference to; military justice, contracts, labor, environmental and operations law. The center also provides legal advice and assistance on personal and civil matters to military members, retirees and dependent family members. Types of Services

Legal assistance will continue to be by telephonic appointment only. If you need any legal assistance, will, or notary services, please call our office for an appointment. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis for time-sensitive legal assistance needs. Will appointments are available for all active duty members stationed at JB Andrews.

These services can include:

1. Legal Assistance hours: Tuesday - Thursday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. by appointment
2. Wills, Living Will & Durable POA for Healthcare - Wednesdays by appointment
3. Notary and POAs Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. by appointment.
4. Landlord-tenant and lease issues
5. Domestic relation issues
6. Consumer issues
7. Tax assistance - Free tax clinic from early February to mid-April. Active-duty military members and/or their dependents may come to room 2550 of the Jones Building every Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during tax season to prepare their own tax returns for free.
8. Processing claims for damage to personal property during PCS move, loss of household goods or TDY shipments and vandalism on base. For household goods issues, please contact the Air Force Claims Service Center at 1-877-754-1212, or please visit the Air force Claims Service Center website.
