Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
The purpose of the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Mobilization and Deployment Readiness Program is to support leadership in attaining mission readiness. This is done by providing education and services to active forces and their families to improve their life skills during military-induced separations. The readiness programs assist JBER personnel and families in preparation for, during and after deployments, extended temporary duty assignment and remote tour assignments.
Military and Family Readiness Center-Elmendorf offers weekly pre-deployment and reintegration briefings for Airmen and Guardians. For additional information on pre-deployment and reintegration briefings or to obtain information on support groups for spouses, contact the M&FRC-Elmendorf at 907-552-4943.
Military Family Readiness Center-ACS Richardson offers Mobilization and Deployment briefings and Rear Detachment Commander Training quarterly or on request. We offer training for Soldier Family Readiness Groups. For additional information on Army Mobilization and Deployment or SFRGs, call 907-384-1517.
