Military and Family Support Center

Military and Family Support Centers provide information, education and support programs to help balance the demands of military life. Offerings include:

• Deployment support to assist you and your family during all phases of the deployment cycle. Learn more about deployment support.

• Confidential non-medical clinical counseling provides support for a wide range of issues from marital conflicts and stress management to coping with grief and deployment adjustments Learn more about confidential non-medical counseling.
• Personal and family life education assists with developing knowledge and skills to help you navigate your mobile military life.
• Personal financial readiness assists you and your family in building and maintaining your financial readiness.
• Employment assistance supports career exploration, education, training and licensing, career connections and employment readiness for military spouses, transitioning service members, and other family members. Learn more about the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO.
• Information and referral can assist you in identifying and clarifying needs and locating and connecting to services and programs available both on and off your installation.
• Morale, Welfare and Recreation, or MWR services provide lots of ways for you to connect with friends and others for entertainment, rest and relaxation — all at reduced or no cost. Learn more about MWR programs and services.

Guam Fleet and Family Support Center offers a full range of services:

• Information and referral: Directory assistance to phone numbers, directions and hours of operations on and off base, free internet, free copying services, free state-side faxing and coupons.
• Relocation Assistance Program: Assist with issues related to relocating such as Area Orientation Brief/Intercultural Relations (AOB/ICR), Island Tour, Welcome Aboard packages, Loaner Closet, Smooth Move classes, Typhoon Preparedness classes, New Spouse Orientation and more.
• Life skills: Help individuals and families face the challenges of military life through stress and anger management, child rearing classes, self-esteem courses and more.
• Ombudsman and volunteer support: Supports Ombudsman Basic Training, Ombudsman assembly meetings and volunteer opportunities.
• Personal financial management: Offers information, education and counseling to assist individuals and families in the complex process of financial decision making.
• Counseling services: Certified counselors provide professional counseling for individuals, couples and families. Located on Naval Base Guam in Building 104, the hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please call 671-333-9827 for more information.
• Transition Assistance Program: If you are separating or retiring from the Navy or other military branch, we will help you prepare for your new career outside of the military.
• Deployment and individual augmentee: Briefs and support for sailors and families preparing for separation due to deployment, preparing for return and reunions as well as providing support throughout the deployment cycle.
• Family Readiness Employment Program: Assist family members in preparing for a job search.
• Family Advocacy Program: Dedicated to inspiring healthy relationships and to preventing spouse abuse, child abuse and child neglect.  We offer crisis intervention, abuse prevention classes and more.
• Sexual Assault Prevention and Response: Offers advocacy and support services, short-term crisis counseling, education programs and more. SAPR services are available to all sailors and their families 24/7.
• New Parent Support: Parents are offered support and guidance during pregnancy and early infancy through home visits and education.
• Expectional Family Member Program: Available to provide information and referral services as well as resource materials to EFMP families.

Our mission is to support United States naval activities on Guam in maintaining operational readiness.  We will provide information, training and counseling to service members, reservists, Department of Defense civilian hires and their families to improve quality of life, enhance performance and encourage retention.
