When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
Newly arriving personnel reporting to Naval Station Everett must check in with the ACDO (425-508-2946) or CDO at (425-418-2147) . Personal can be met at the Visitor Control Center or at Building 2000.
Sailors attached to a ship will be sent directly to the ship for check-in. If the ship is not in port at the time of check-in you will be assigned to a Temporary Personnel Unit, until your ship arrives or until transportation to your ship has been arranged. Single Sailors will most likely be provided a room in the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters 425-304-3111. Sailors who are married with no children & families with pets and/or children may stay at the Navy Lodge 800-628-9466. It is strongly suggested that you make reservations for temporary quarters early in your trip planning to ensure you have a place to stay upon arrival. Your Sponsor may be able to assist you with this.
The Fleet and Family Support Center can provide information and assistance with issues that relocating personnel face. Start on the right foot by getting connected with the FFSC, conveniently located next to the Base Quarterdeck in Building 2000 Room 156 or at the Smokey Point Complex Room 813. You may also give them a call at 425-304-3367/3735, DSN 312-727-3367/3735. Please call the FFSC if you have questions or would like to connect with the FFSC Relocation POC.

Active-duty members should bring orders and service record for in-processing. Medical records for both you and your family members should be hand carried if possible. If you are married en route, make sure you have a copy of your marriage certificate and birth certificates. Upon arrival, this will be needed for you to apply for benefits for your spouse. If possible, bring a copy of school records to speed up the process of appropriate school placement and continued educational plans.

Naval Station Everett Military and Family Member ID cards — All family members over 10 years of age are required to have a dependent ID card. For more information, call 425-304-4256.
If you are planning on flying into SEA Airport, realize that Naval Station Everett, aka, the Base, is about 45 miles north of the airport, and the Smokey Point Navy Support Complex is 11 miles north of the Base. It is strongly recommended that you make local transportation arrangements through your sponsor, gaining command or commercial means before arriving at SEA Airport. If you arrive at SEA Airport and have no transportation arrangements and cannot pay for transportation, please visit the United Service Organizations on the second deck of the main terminal of the SEA Airport for assistance. This is a full service USO, with showers, sleeping area, lounge, computer/internet, food, reading material and more.
If you plan to arrive at Paine Field, it is 10 miles from NSE. It is recommended that you make transportation arrangements before arriving.
If you have not been assigned a sponsor, you should contact your future command sponsor coordinator (contact the gaining command quarterdeck or the Relocation POC at FFSC for that individiuals contact information). Having a sponsor can make this relocation experience less stressful; your sponsor can provide you with information specific to you and your family's needs. Sponsors are required during a PCS at all commands if one has not been assigned/reached out please reach out to the FFSC Relocation POC (425) 304-3716.
Single sailors will most likely be provided a room in the bachelor enlisted quarters, (425-304-3111); families may stay at the Navy Lodge (360-653-6390) located at the Smokey Point complex. If you get married before you permanent change of station you must inform your command and follow the procedures exactly as they are given. The military will not pay for travel and housing of your spouse if you do not follow proper procedures. You need to enroll your spouse in Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) for them to begin receiving benefits. Ensure that you bring your marriage certificate and both you and your spouse birth certificate or social security card.
