Legal Assistance

Region Legal Service Office Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia detachment Naval Station Rota is staffed by licensed military and civilian attorneys, legal men and civilian employees who provide legal services in the areas of military justice, Spanish criminal and civil cases, command advice, family law, estate planning and immigration. The Legal Assistance Office also drafts powers of attorney and can provide notarizations recognized in the United States.

RLSO EURAFSWA detachment Naval Station Rota's Legal Assistance Office is located in the Community Services Building, #3293. The office is open for customer service from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays and region/installation days of no scheduled activity. Simple notary services administering oaths, taking acknowledgments and witnessing signatures and powers of attorney are available on a limited walk-in basis from 9 a.m.to noon on Tuesday's and Thursday's. Real estate notarizations and powers of attorney may require an appointment with an attorney due to state law requirements. Call in advance for real estate powers of attorney or notarization services. Personnel desiring a will, advance medical directive or health care power of attorney should contact the office for will paperwork.
