Naval Support Activity Mid-South

NSA Mid-South serves as the Navy's Human Resources Center of Excellence. Our mission is to support the global warfighter presence and our vision is effective support at efficient cost. The front gate is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is located on Navy road at the NSA Mid-South Visitor Center.

Important documents to hand carry when reporting to NAVSUPPACT Mid-South include: original orders with stamped endorsements, flight itinerary, medical and school records for your family members and receipts for lodging. Check in to your command for further instructions.

Please bring the serial numbers for all your weapons and report to Building S237 Security to register all your weapons.  Call the NSA Mid-South switchboard at 901-874-5111 for further information.

Defense Service Network (DSN) Dialing Instructions

The DSN prefix for NSA Mid-South is "882". The DSN is the provider of long-distance communications service for the Department of Defense (DoD). 
Every installation has a special DSN number and the numbers vary by world-wide location. 
In order to place a call using DSN from a landline at NSA Mid-South, first dial "94" then proceed with the remaining DSN Numbers (7 digits within the continental United States, all 10 digits when calling overseas).

Examples:
To make a DSN call to/from a location on base, dial "874-####".
To make a DSN call from NSA Mid-South to another base in CONUS, dial "94-###-####". 
To make a DSN call from NSA Mid-South to Yokosuka, Japan dial "94-315-###-####".  

The caller must be using a military phone on an installation. 
Cell phones cannot dial DSN numbers. 
If dialing a DSN prefix beginning with either 9 or 4, you must dial "94" then the DSN prefix and extension. You can always dial "94" prior to all DSN calls, but it's not necessary. 
When dialing a DSN number to/from overseas locations, the DSN area code must be included.
