Health care services provided by the Defense Department are available to you and your family at your installation. We know that finding the right health care is important, especially in special circumstances such as emergency or during recent move. Here, you’ll find information and options about the services you have regarding healthcare.
Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit can be reached by calling 901-874-6100. The medical clinic provides primary care to active-duty personnel. The dental clinic, which can be reached by calling 901-874-5361, provides primary care only to active-duty personnel.

Filling prescriptions while traveling

Getting dental care while traveling
Getting dental care while traveling depends on your location and whether you are a service member or family member.
Medical care
The Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit (NMRTU) is a TRICARE facility located aboard Naval Support Activity Mid-South. The clinic provides primary care to all active-duty personnel.
Health records
All active-duty health records are maintained at the NMRTU. Health records for active-duty family members who used to be seen at Branch Medical Clinic may be transferred to their current primary care manager upon request.
The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society does not have a Visiting Nurse Program.

Pharmacy
A pharmacy supporting active-duty personnel, family members and retirees is available at the Navy Exchange.
Dental careDental services provided include exams, cleaning, cavities filled, bridges and root canals, and others that are needed/required. Only active-duty personnel have access to this service.

The only community resource used is United Concordia.
